Paige DeSorbo ‘can’t believe’ the Giggly Squad podcast has been so successful

Paige DeSorbo is shocked by the overwhelming support for the Giggly Squad podcast.
The host first launched the podcast with best friend Hannah Berner in 2020, and it’s grown to over 44 million downloads to date. They release episodes each week discussing pop culture, fashion trends, television, horoscopes, mental health, dating, and their own personal lives.
The Giggly Squad is going on tour, hitting 25 cities across the U.S. and Canada. Tickets are on sale now, and the tour will kick off in September.
The girls are amazed by how many fans the show has garnered since its beginning.
“It’s definitely a pinch me moment where we’re just like, ‘Wait. We were two dumb girls laying in bed that thought each other was funny,’ and now we have this amazing community,” Paige told OK! Magazine at BravoCon last year.
She continued: “It’s so rewarding. I’m so grateful that I get to be able to do that with my best friend. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to describe the feeling because it’s not work.”
The friends met while filming their Bravo show Summer House. While they are still known for their reality TV work, their influence has grown beyond that.
The success of the podcast wasn’t planned, as it just started as two girls speaking their mind. She said she feels most herself when at home preparing for the show.
“It was not strategized. It’s weird to say, and people sometimes don’t believe me when I say it because I’m on reality TV. But I’m actually a very quiet and introverted person,” she said.
“I’m a homebody!” To be on reality TV, I know it is very different. But, truly, who I am is home by myself, watching my shows and preparing for the week of work ahead.”
